Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gilberto Mineiro made the kick off which started today's match. Paulo José Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Costa having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Costa made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Paulo José Damião sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Saecinza's zone, Eliseu Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delfim de Godoi came out of the goal and Eliseu Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Palmitos booed when Saecinza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeferson Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Barral, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseu Lucas in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delfim de Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Gustavo Ferraz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delfim de Godoi having to make a save. If Gilberto Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enéas Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Gilberto Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Saecinza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Mineiro couldn't finish the play. After 31 minutes, Jeferson Peixoto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saecinza and the Palmitos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Saecinza got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Peixoto. Delfim de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Lucas in the 37th minute of play. Manuel Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Saecinza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Velasco to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Paulo José Damião left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Palmitos's Luís Eduardo Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Mineiro in the 93rd minute of play. After 97 played minutes Saecinza got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Eger. Saecinza's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
