Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jânio Passos got the match started through his kick off. Turiuba AD's Dagoberto Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Diniz in the 3rd minute of play. Sydney Reis hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Waldir Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riozinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dagoberto Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joélson Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Velasco having to interfere. Jarbas Zilles ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Riozinho's Chicão Travassos got a free kick in the 26th minute. The supporters of Turiuba AD booed when Riozinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dagoberto Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Paulista in the 37th minute of play. If Joélson Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Víktor de Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riozinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Turiuba AD the free kick. After 40 played minutes Riozinho got a freekick which was hit by Víktor de Amorim. In the 42nd minute, Jarbas Zilles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elder Mello was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Riozinho's Víktor de Amorim got a free kick in the 48th minute. If Jânio Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joélson Diniz to strike the kick off in the second half. Jarbas Zilles scored 3-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder Mello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jânio Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Jânio Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turiuba AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jânio Passos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarbas Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Elder Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Jânio Passos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elder Mello was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After 81 minutes of play Riozinho's Délio Paulista was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Délio Paulista hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When Turiuba AD's Jânio Passos, in the 84th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Turiuba AD. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Zilles in the 88th minute of play forced Riozinho's goalkeeper Elder Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Turiuba AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Riozinho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
