Naldo Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Trancoso in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Silvinho Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galvao EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Araboladi EC's Naldo Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Trancoso in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Araboladi EC's Murilo Santos got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Araboladi EC! The referee gave Galvao EC a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Elder Arce, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Araboladi EC's Naldo Peixoto. 0-2. In the 32nd minute, Sabino Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvinho Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Naldo Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galvao EC. In the 37th match minute, Galvao EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Valle to maneuver through the defense. If Paulo José Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, Galvao EC's Silvinho Trancoso made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Naldo Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Galvao EC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvinho Trancoso to make the kick off. Paulo José Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Romeu Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Paulo José Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Silvinho Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Silvinho Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galvao EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvinho Trancoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvinho Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Peixoto having to interfere. Juninho Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Naldo Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galvao EC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Trancoso in the 75th minute of play forced Araboladi EC's goalkeeper Naldo Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Galvao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Vieira came free, but Romeu Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Dorival das Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Araboladi EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Paulo José Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Leão having to interfere. Juninho Fernandes hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Sabino Valle came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Galvao EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabino Valle couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Galvao EC's Silvinho Trancoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Naldo Peixoto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeu Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes, Galvao EC's Elder Arce shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Naldo Peixoto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Galvao EC reached it. After a rather tough play, Araboladi EC's Murilo Santos got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Sabino Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Peixoto having to interfere. When the match was over Galvao EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Araboladi EC throughout the match.
