After 23 played minutes, Embirizal's Tomé Mendonça shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Deivid Figueiredo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Embirizal reached it. If Silvinho Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válbson Matorin's late challenge caught a Embirizal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válbson Matorin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute Bernardo Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Embirizal getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Conrado Neiva hit a great ball. A collision led to Tapuiara getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Deivid Figueiredo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

56 minutes into the match, Embirizal's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Dantas came free, but Giovanni Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deivid Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 73 minutes, Paulão Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Embirizal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulão Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deivid Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Tapuiara's Sidnei Montenegro got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Embirizal's Paulão Proença in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Paulão Proença showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 93rd minute, Paulão Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Embirizal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tapuiara throughout the match.
