The supporters of Escolvado booed when Uari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes, Escolvado's Cristiano Pena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cacá Bittencourt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Escolvado reached it. Uari's Carlinhos Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Escolvado's Faustão Gerber in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uari's goalie prevented a goal. When Leonel Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uari's protests and gave Leonel Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Leonel Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uari's goalkeeper Cacá Bittencourt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Faustão Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldão da Cunha during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uari booed when Escolvado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Faustão Gerber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cacá Bittencourt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlinhos Vergílio to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Escolvado's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Vergílio came free, but Luiz Fábio Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renatinho Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. After 72 played minutes Uari got a freekick which was hit by Nilton de Brito. Escolvado's Glauco Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cacá Bittencourt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustão Gerber in the 76th minute. Renatinho Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Luiz Fábio Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Uari's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Faustão Gerber fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 88 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fábio Souto. Escolvado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlinhos Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Uari's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
