Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Fundao's Rony Costa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uari's Cacá Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Costa in the 10th minute of play. Rony Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Uari's zone, Rony Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Bittencourt came out of the goal and Rony Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Simão de Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uari's Cacá Bittencourt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Uari booed when Fundao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Doriva Seco in the 37th minute really tested Rubinho da Silva's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Nilton de Brito fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uari's protests and gave Nilton de Brito a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Uari got a freekick which was hit by Nilton de Brito. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rony Costa in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cacá Bittencourt saved Uari from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlinhos Vergílio was the one to do the kick off. When Luisão Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fundao's protests and gave Luisão Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes Fundao got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Ferreira. If Rony Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Carlinhos Vergílio made a precise shot to the right of Rubinho da Silva. Fundao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Rony Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Bittencourt having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Rocha during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Simão de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rony Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cacá Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Fundao defense, Carlinhos Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho da Silva. The Fundao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho da Silva should have stopped the shot. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Uari were victorious despite being under pressure from Fundao for much of the match.
