In the 11th minute João Vítor Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Aloísio Bittencourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parelhas EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edeia the free kick. Alexandre Borges missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 16 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Rubens Soares right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabiano Ortiz during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Edeia booed when Parelhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubens Soares was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Luís Gustavo Freire capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Gustavo Freire really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. João Vítor Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Pedro Albuquerque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rômulo Breckenfeld's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Narciso Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Rubens Soares managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Edeia's Luís Gustavo Freire fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 39th minute, Luís Gustavo Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 40 minutes, Umberto Trigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parelhas EC and the Edeia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rubens Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Parelhas EC's Fabiano Ortiz got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Fabiano Ortiz off the ground.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kauã Barral to make the kick off. Parelhas EC's Rubens Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Freire in the 52nd minute of play. Rubens Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Parelhas EC's zone, Luís Gustavo Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Soares came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th match minute, Parelhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Luís Gustavo Freire put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rubens Soares. Luís Gustavo Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rubens Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Parelhas EC defense, Luís Gustavo Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubens Soares. The Parelhas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubens Soares should have stopped the shot. Ademar Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Kauã Barral charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kauã Barral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Edeia booed when Parelhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubens Soares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Vítor Severo went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Edeia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
