Vitinho Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The free kick resulted in a very good chance to score when Júnior Coutinho kicked a really tricky shot on goal. Hudson Mota never had to step in, however, because the ball went just left of the goal. With an all-out effort, Abrantes AD's Vitinho Veiga threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tadeu Brasil, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tadeu Brasil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitinho Veiga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play.
