Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kaká de Azevedo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alex Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Toninho do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Taipoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toninho do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Horror's João Augusto Ramalho got a free kick in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Horror's Virgílio Quaresma got control of the ball when Alex Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Horror's Kaká de Azevedo in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taipoca's goalie prevented a goal. Waldir Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Claudinei Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Walmir Veloso in the 26th minute really tested Virgílio Quaresma's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Alex Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Virgílio Quaresma made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, Horror's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho do Nascimento came free, but Virgílio Quaresma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Taipoca's zone, Kaká de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Cearense came out of the goal and Kaká de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Horror's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho do Nascimento came free, but Virgílio Quaresma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Horror was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Taipoca's Toninho do Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Virgílio Quaresma. That made the score 1-0 after 39 minutes of play. Claudinei Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Correia in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toninho do Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Reynaldo Abraão fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horror's protests and gave Reynaldo Abraão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Horror's goalkeeper Virgílio Quaresma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alex Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Cearense didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Horror's Kaká de Azevedo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaká de Azevedo in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei Cearense saved Taipoca from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Waldir Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Horror's Kaká de Azevedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinei Cearense. That made the score 1-2 after 68 minutes of play. Claudinei Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká de Azevedo in the 77th minute of play. Alex Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Virgílio Quaresma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toninho do Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgílio Quaresma having to make a save. If Waldir Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Claudinei Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute of the match Walmir Veloso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgílio Quaresma showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Claudinei Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, one of Horror:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Horror. Walmir Veloso shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Horror's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
