Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sidnei Baiano started the match with the kick off. Sorocaba's Sebastião Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Mello in the 3rd minute of play. José Vítor Simão was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Enéas Sampaio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enéas Sampaio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Enéas Sampaio came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sorocaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enéas Sampaio couldn't finish the play. Sebastião Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Reis in the 12th minute of the match. César Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Pires having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Sorocaba got a freekick which was hit by Válter Quirino. In the 22nd minute, Celso Travassos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sorocaba's Sebastião Pires didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Medeiros in the 26th minute of play forced Sorocaba's goalkeeper Sebastião Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enéas Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Simão having to interfere. The supporters of Sorocaba booed when Miriu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miriu EC's Fernandinho Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miriu EC's Geovani Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Reis made a kick off. 59 minutes into the match, César Reis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastião Pires. Sorocaba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that César Reis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Tiago Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. César Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Fernandinho Medeiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastião Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Miriu EC's José Vítor Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas Sampaio in the 75th minute of play. If Enéas Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sorocaba booed when Miriu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enéas Sampaio in the 83rd minute of play forced Miriu EC's goalkeeper José Vítor Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Américo Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sorocaba supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Miriu EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Miriu EC.
