The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Vítor Paraense's late challenge caught a Ipueiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Vítor Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 played minutes Miriu EC got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Paraense. Dedé Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Fernandinho Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Freitas having to interfere. Américo Cerezo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Miriu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Quintal to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Ipueiras's Jano Prata broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Celso Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ronaldo Lira succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Miriu EC's Fernandinho Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miriu EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Enéas Queiroz scored to the left of an out of position José Vítor Simão, making the score, 2-0. In the 36th minute Enéas Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enéas Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Vítor Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Fernandinho Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dedé Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Reis made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duda Proença during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Duda Proença hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Celso Travassos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dedé Freitas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernandinho Medeiros in the 56th minute. When Tiago Gabriel Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipueiras's protests and gave Tiago Gabriel Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. Miriu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernandinho Medeiros got free with Dedé Freitas in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the match, Ipueiras's Enéas Queiroz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Vítor Simão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Ipueiras booed when Miriu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovani Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enéas Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enéas Queiroz in the 95th minute of play forced Miriu EC's goalkeeper José Vítor Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ipueiras had won after a very even match.
