Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcus Faustino started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Afonso Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Fernandinho Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Simão in the 6th minute of the match. The supporters of Emboscada SS booed when Iraucuba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedito Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Dé Fonseca sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Iraucuba EC's Fernandinho Santana didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Emboscada SS's zone, Robinho Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gláuber Baptista came out of the goal and Robinho Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 minutes, Cristiano Linhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emboscada SS and the Iraucuba EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Emboscada SS got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Linhares. 22 minutes into the game, Robinho Arce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gláuber Baptista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernandinho Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Simão in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Emboscada SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Simão to maneuver through the defense. When Antônio Carlos Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Emboscada SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Carlos Sabóia couldn't finish the play. Antônio Carlos Sabóia struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Fernandinho Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emboscada SS. If Robinho Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Valério Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robinho Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gláuber Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldir Arósio during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Marcus Faustino came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Iraucuba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Faustino couldn't finish the play. Robinho Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Baptista having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
