Carmelo Patxi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 25th playminute. 29 minutes into the game, Carmelo Patxi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aloísio Ramalho. Carmelo Patxi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Patxi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aloísio Ramalho was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Felippe de Barros came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Tulu's Alfredinho Jacinto. But to his dismay, Alfredinho Jacinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Carmelo Patxi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Aloísio Ramalho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Durval Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmelo Patxi to make the kick off. Tulu's Aloísio Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Patxi in the 53rd minute of play. Elder Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Felippe de Barros made a huge save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aloísio Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute, Carmelo Patxi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aloísio Ramalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Aloísio Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Patxi, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Tommie Reitsma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Aloísio Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aloísio Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Patxi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloísio Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Patxi in the 80th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Carmelo Patxi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tulu's Aloísio Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Carmelo Patxi made a precise shot to the right of Aloísio Ramalho. Tulu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 88th minute, Jesus Christian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of PARTENON - RS booed when Tulu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falcão do Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aloísio Ramalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Falcão do Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alfredinho Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
