If Maicon Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rubens Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorival de Barros hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A collision led to CR Vila Xurupita getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Dorival de Barros hit a great ball. When CR Vila Xurupita's Nestor Toscano in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sílvio Luiz de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Toninho Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toninho Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Toscano's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The supporters of CR Vila Xurupita booed when Barreira EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raúl Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. Dorival de Barros thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Rubens Trigo, a very annoying self made goal in the 53rd minute which led to 1-0. When Maicon Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the CR Vila Xurupita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maicon Cosme couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Toscano in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toninho Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Germano Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of CR Vila Xurupita booed when Barreira EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Arí Vides was slow to take the kick. During this time Barreira EC's players had a chance to rest. Guilherme Massa's late challenge caught a Barreira EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guilherme Massa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Barreira EC booed when CR Vila Xurupita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Arí Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barreira EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arí Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rubens Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rubens Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Cabral in the 81st minute of play. In the 86th minute, Raúl Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barreira EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Nestor Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Toninho Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Sílvio Luiz de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Barreira EC could leave the field as winners, despite CR Vila Xurupita having more of the ball for most of the match.
