After having played for 47 minutes, Túlio da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pendencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Túlio da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Túlio da Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Brasileia's Murillo Fonseca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zézinho Vergílio. Cipriano Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Brasileia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
