Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Murillo Fonseca took the kick off in the first half of the match. Brasileia's Chicão Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Branco in the 3rd minute of play. In the 8th minute, Nildo de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murillo Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute Lauro Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chicão Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Tomás Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brasileia's Murillo Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nildo de Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Joélson Ramalho made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nildo de Queiroz in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joélson Ramalho saved Castilhos FC from getting behind. Lauro Brodel scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chicão Cardoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Lauro Brodel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chicão Cardoso. Brasileia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lauro Brodel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Murillo Fonseca took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joélson Ramalho. Joélson Ramalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Brasileia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Castilhos FC were winning 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lauro Brodel was the one to do the kick off. Tomás Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Cardoso having to interfere. Nildo de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joélson Ramalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Tomás Branco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Chicão Cardoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Castilhos FC's Jairo Mota got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Wágner Furtado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Castilhos FC's Joélson Ramalho didn't even have to move. After 66 minutes of play, Castilhos FC's Tomás Branco made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chicão Cardoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomás Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nildo de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joélson Ramalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Brasileia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Furtado to maneuver through the defense. If Lauro Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nildo de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Joélson Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Castilhos FC's Lauro Brodel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chicão Cardoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Branco got free with Chicão Cardoso in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Lauro Brodel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chicão Cardoso was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Nildo de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Castilhos FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
