Chicão Oliveira hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When Tomás Branco came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Castilhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Branco couldn't finish the play. Lauro Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Zézinho Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Pendencia's Silvério Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Castilhos FC booed when Pendencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castilhos FC's Joélson Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio da Silveira in the 19th minute of play. Túlio da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Silvério Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho Vergílio having to interfere. After having played for 33 minutes, Túlio da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pendencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Túlio da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Túlio da Silveira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joélson Ramalho, 1-1. Gildo Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gonçalo Meira fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pendencia's protests and gave Gonçalo Meira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Castilhos FC booed when Pendencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Túlio da Silveira was the one to do the kick off. Tomás Branco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Zézinho Vergílio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Túlio da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Ramalho having to interfere. Joélson Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvério Silveira struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Joélson Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pendencia. After a rather tough play, Pendencia's Cauan de Souza got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pendencia's goalkeeper Zézinho Vergílio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Lauro Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pendencia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
