After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Sérgio de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacuitinga's supporters rose to their feet, but Sérgio de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duda de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chico Novaes struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ezequiel Zanette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wagner AD. Ezequiel Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natanael Paiva's late challenge caught a Jacuitinga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natanael Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Wagner AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Flavinho Brito hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Jacuitinga's Nico Amorim got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Wagner AD's Faustão Mesquita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hélder Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ezequiel Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Novaes in the 39th minute of play forced Jacuitinga's goalkeeper Ezequiel Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ezequiel Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Novaes in the 42nd minute of the match. Norberto de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Jacuitinga getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Norberto de Queiroz hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sérgio de Barros to make the kick off. With a little luck, Jacuitinga's Ezequiel Zanette got control of the ball when Hélder Gaúcho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norberto de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Duda de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ezequiel Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Gaúcho in the 58th minute of play. Chico Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ezequiel Zanette made a huge save. After 60 played minutes Jacuitinga got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Pereira. 61 minutes into the game, Chico Novaes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ezequiel Zanette was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Duda de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldo Gerber during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 74 played minutes Jacuitinga got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Gerber. 78 minutes into the match, Jacuitinga's goalkeeper Ezequiel Zanette had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chico Novaes. After a defensive mix-up in Jacuitinga's zone, Chico Novaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ezequiel Zanette came out of the goal and Chico Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ezequiel Zanette was a little too slow when Hélder Gaúcho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-2. Chico Novaes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Ezequiel Zanette skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Duda de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Hélder Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wagner AD eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
