Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jerônimo Varela kicked off to start the match. Deivid Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Joaquim Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hélder Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Itanhomi's Joaquim Melo got control of the ball when Chico Novaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Itanhomi's zone, Chico Novaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Melo came out of the goal and Chico Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerônimo Varela in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duda de Medeiros saved Wagner AD from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Itanhomi's goalkeeper Joaquim Melo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chico Novaes. After a defensive mix-up in Wagner AD's zone, Aloísio Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duda de Medeiros came out of the goal and Aloísio Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Deivid Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wagner AD's protests and gave Deivid Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Wagner AD got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Paranaense. Jerônimo Varela might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duda de Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerônimo Varela ran back to his position shaking his head. Hélder Gaúcho's late challenge caught a Itanhomi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Gaúcho helped the player get up and apologised. Hélder Gaúcho hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Chico Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itanhomi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wagner AD the free kick. Chico Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Novaes in the 53rd minute of play forced Itanhomi's goalkeeper Joaquim Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Wagner AD's Chico Novaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquim Melo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Erivaldo Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the game, Wagner AD's Hélder Gaúcho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquim Melo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 70 minutes into the match, Chico Novaes notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Itanhomi's Joaquim Melo. Joaquim Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Itanhomi were furious when Paulo Pirani was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 79th minute there was a penalty for Wagner AD. Faustão Mesquita stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquim Melo. 4-0. If Chico Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Itanhomi got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Nascimento. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Hélder Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wagner AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hélder Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
