The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto de Queiroz got free with Joaquim Melo in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Jacuitinga booed when Itanhomi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Itanhomi and the Jacuitinga players grew even worse after the yellow card.
