Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mauro Zanette started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, Wagner AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. Wigalf Borkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Novaes in the 8th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Faustão Mesquita put in a rough tackle. In the 10th minute, one of Wagner AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wagner AD. When the match had been going on for 12 minutes, Kings of Leon's Severino de Medeiros got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Duda de Medeiros. Wigalf Borkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Novaes in the 16th minute of the match. Duda de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Chico Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Wagner AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Novaes couldn't finish the play. Chico Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Wigalf Borkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Chico Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Wagner AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Novaes couldn't finish the play. Deivid Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Wagner AD's Duda de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Zanette in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chico Novaes to strike the kick off in the second half. Mauro Zanette struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Duda de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kings of Leon. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Queirós during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lauro Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Mauro Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Duda de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chico Novaes got free with Wigalf Borkowski in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chico Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wigalf Borkowski having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Kings of Leon's goalkeeper Wigalf Borkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chico Novaes. In the 73rd minute, Natanael Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juvenal Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Duda de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chico Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Wagner AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Novaes couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Mauro Zanette put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Duda de Medeiros. Albertinho Chaves's late challenge caught a Wagner AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertinho Chaves helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Kings of Leon got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Chaves. If Chico Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kings of Leon's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
