Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tião Velasco kicked off to start the match. With his leg Joel Duarte managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Grêmio Imortal's Tião Velasco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hamílton Vidal hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Tião Velasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Duarte. Josenopolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Velasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Josenopolis's Danilo de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 20 played minutes Grêmio Imortal got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Corrêa. Carlos Augusto Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Sá in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Dinei Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Augusto Esteves. Grêmio Imortal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dinei Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Grêmio Imortal booed when Josenopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Velasco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Joel Duarte skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 28 minutes, Basílio Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Imortal and the Josenopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. Basílio Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Grêmio Imortal's goal looked a bit too open when Dinei Sá came free, but Carlos Augusto Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Grêmio Imortal's Tião Velasco made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tião Velasco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Joel Duarte made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Josenopolis:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grêmio Imortal:s goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinei Sá to make the kick off. Grêmio Imortal's Carlos Augusto Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Imortal from getting a goal against them. Ciro de Brito was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the game, one of Josenopolis:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tião Velasco succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-1. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Imortal's Gualter Palmeira got a free kick in the 70th minute. Lenílson Prado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Esteves made a huge save. Tião Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Duarte having to interfere. Grêmio Imortal's Cláudio Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 minutes, Danilo de Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Josenopolis and the Grêmio Imortal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joel Duarte came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Imortal's Tião Velasco. But to his dismay, Tião Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. In the 89th minute Tião Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Velasco in the 91st minute of play forced Josenopolis's goalkeeper Joel Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Grêmio Imortal's Tião Velasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dalmo Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Duarte having to interfere. If Tião Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Danilo de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
