Richard Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Pombal having to interfere. Toninho Brasil's late challenge caught a Salmorao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toninho Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Sanganha AD got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Brasil. In the 13th minute of the match Adrianinho Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Carlos Pombal skillfully saved the ball. In the 14th minute Armando Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match Toninho Brasil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Valladares skillfully saved the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Sanganha AD's Carlos Eduardo Novaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Valladares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Saldanha in the 20th minute of play forced Sanganha AD's goalkeeper José Carlos Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Augusto Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Richard Vale took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Carlos Pombal. José Carlos Pombal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, Salmorao's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Monteiro came free, but Thiago Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match Giuseppe França sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Valladares skillfully saved the ball. Richard Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Sanganha AD's José Carlos Pombal got control of the ball when Richard Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pedro Augusto Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Salmorao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Augusto Saldanha couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Saldanha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Carlos Pombal. Pedro Augusto Saldanha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Richard Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Carlos Pombal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Armando Monteiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Thiago Valladares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 59th match minute, Salmorao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Bastos to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Richard Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Salmorao's Guga Bastos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Carlos Pombal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 72nd minute, Toninho Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes, Salmorao's Adrianinho Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Carlos Pombal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Salmorao reached it. Sanganha AD's José Carlos Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Vale in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Rogério da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Monteiro got free with Thiago Valladares in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Pedro Augusto Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Armando Monteiro made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Valladares. Salmorao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sanganha AD's zone, Richard Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Carlos Pombal came out of the goal and Richard Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Novaes in the 95th minute of play forced Salmorao's goalkeeper Thiago Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Novaes in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Salmorao had won after a very even match.
