In the 7th match minute, Guaramirim-FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fabiano França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Ferreira having to interfere. Guaramirim-FSCMZ's Juvenal Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Branco in the 17th minute of play forced Guaramirim-FSCMZ's goalkeeper Basílio Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Porto in the 23rd minute of play. Simão Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fabiano França's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Juvenal Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guaramirim-FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Almfala AD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Osman Ali Nurettin took the corner. Luiz Fabiano França was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Luiz Fabiano França might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simão Ferreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Fabiano França ran back to his position shaking his head. 32 minutes into the match, Almfala AD's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano França came free, but Simão Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almfala AD's Simão Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Porto in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Almfala AD's Marcelinho Branco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fabiano França to strike the kick off in the second half. Eugênio Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Guaramirim-FSCMZ's Cléberson Freitas got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 61st minute, Oséias Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes, Almfala AD's Sílvio Luiz Santana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Basílio Nogueira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Almfala AD reached it. 76 minutes into the match, Guaramirim-FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho Branco came free, but Basílio Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Gustavo Eger during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Almfala AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Gustavo Eger to maneuver through the defense. Simão Ferreira stood somewhat misplaced when Luiz Fabiano França came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Juvenal Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Almfala AD's Marcelinho Branco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basílio Nogueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Simão Ferreira came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Guaramirim-FSCMZ's Juvenal Porto. But to his dismay, Juvenal Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Guaramirim-FSCMZ were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
