In the 7th minute of the match Vasqueiro FC got a corner. Pixo SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Murillo Lima ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Murillo Lima got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rony Tinoco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Horácio Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Rony Tinoco made a huge save. Vasqueiro FC's Dorian Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Benê Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pixo SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vasqueiro FC the free kick. After 13 played minutes Pixo SS got a freekick which was hit by Benê Teixeira. Horácio Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Armando do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Pixo SS's Rony Tinoco got control of the ball when Horácio Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Horácio Linhares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rony Tinoco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Horácio Linhares could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Rony Tinoco however easily saved by the left post. Benê Teixeira got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 23rd match minute, Pixo SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Luís Paulista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Ramalho went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Luiz Paulo Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marco Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulista having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Pixo SS's goalkeeper Rony Tinoco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Linhares. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Ramalho in the 46th minute of play forced Vasqueiro FC's goalkeeper Luís Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Rony Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Cabral in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Vasqueiro FC's goalkeeper Luís Paulista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Ramalho. Horácio Linhares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rony Tinoco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Rony Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Linhares in the 57th minute of the match. Dorian Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Tinoco having to interfere.
