Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Amauri Correia kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Amauri Correia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cafu Saraiva, passed just outside the right post. When Eliseu Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verdum's protests and gave Eliseu Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Verdum got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Galvão. In the 7th minute, Fabiano Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Verdum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Icacu FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 12 minutes, Icacu FC's Dênis Matorin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cafu Saraiva. José Carlos de Amorim's late challenge caught a Icacu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Carlos de Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Dênis Matorin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Verdum's Cafu Saraiva didn't even have to move. Verdum's Cafu Saraiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Verdum from getting a goal against them. Icacu FC's Fabiano Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Amauri Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute Benê Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudu Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benê Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseu Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Cafu Saraiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabiano Arruda in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Amauri Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Saraiva having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Waldemar Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benê Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Dudu Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benê Vinhas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dudu Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. If Waldemar Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Icacu FC's zone, Waldemar Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu Massa came out of the goal and Waldemar Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Waldemar Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dudu Massa was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. In the 100th minute, Waldemar Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Icacu FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
