Anelio's Paulo Baiano suffered a concussion after 6 minutes and had to leave the field. Ivo Santos's late challenge caught a Anelio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivo Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Doni Chaves sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Traripe EC's Adelino Cardozo didn't even have to move. Luís Eduardo Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, Anelio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. João Leal hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Adelino Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Filipe Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anelio's Paulão Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adelino Cardozo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th match minute, Traripe EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Leal to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Vale in the 28th minute of play forced Traripe EC's goalkeeper Adelino Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Adelino Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Traripe EC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ivo Santos hit a great ball. Lucas Diniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adelino Cardozo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Diniz ran back to his position shaking his head. Adelino Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Diniz's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The supporters of Anelio booed when Traripe EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Leal charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Leal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Traripe EC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. João Leal hit a great ball. Adelino Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Vale in the 40th minute of play. Claudinei Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Nilson Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Cardozo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 56th minute, Filipe Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anelio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Adelino Cardozo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filipe Vale in the 65th minute. Filipe Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Adelino Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Filipe Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claudinei Costa scored 1-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nilson Valle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Anelio's Filipe Vale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adelino Cardozo. That made the score 1-4 after 84 minutes of play. Traripe EC's João Leal got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered João Leal off the ground. After 89 played minutes Traripe EC got a freekick which was hit by João Leal. A long shot from Doni Chaves in the 90th minute of play was well struck, but Adelino Cardozo made a really good save at the right post. Filipe Vale came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Adelino Cardozo could save by the left post. In the 93rdth minute of the game Lucas Diniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Traripe EC's Adelino Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Anelio walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
