Edinho Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muirapinima. Zézinho Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Edinho Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Corralinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo França to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zézinho Simão in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edinho Vides prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute Dagoberto Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavinho Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Aírton Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Rony Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Romário Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Corralinho SC booed when Muirapinima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Rony Melo made a precise shot to the right of Zé Pedro Lira. Muirapinima's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Zé Pedro Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Melo in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Muirapinima getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Edvaldo Tasso hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, Corralinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Fernandes in the 59th minute of play forced Corralinho SC's goalkeeper Edinho Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Corralinho SC's zone, Zézinho Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edinho Vides came out of the goal and Zézinho Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Flavinho Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Romário Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
