Emerson Guedes's late challenge caught a Zebelezinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Guedes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Emerson Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Mangueira having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Eliseu Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zebelezinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Mangueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Alberto Trigo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Luís Mangueira. Itacutiu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Zebelezinho's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão Novaes came free, but Afonsinho Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. Pedro Luís Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco de Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. Marco de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Itacutiu's Pedro Luís Mangueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Itacutiu from getting a goal against them. When Lucas Hoffmann was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. In the 65th match minute, Itacutiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Zebelezinho's Carlos Alberto Trigo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Itacutiu. Marco de Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Mangueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco de Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. If Marco de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Marco de Almeida notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Itacutiu's Pedro Luís Mangueira. Pedro Luís Mangueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot by Carlos Alberto Trigo from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Pedro Luís Mangueira's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Cido Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Pedro Luís Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Pedro Luís Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zebelezinho. When the final whistle sounded Zebelezinho left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Itacutiu.
