The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Zebelezinho's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Catarinense came free, but Afonsinho Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Prado hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Noel Pires shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonsinho Lima showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Zebelezinho's Afonsinho Lima got control of the ball when Raphael Toscano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 22 played minutes Zebelezinho got a freekick which was hit by Marco de Almeida. Afonsinho Lima didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. If Adolfo Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Toscano in the 37th minute of play. Eliseu Toscano hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Marco de Almeida notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Restingua EC's Baltazar Moura. Baltazar Moura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Marco de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zebelezinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Catarinense to make the kick off. Raphael Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Lima having to interfere. Marco de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Baltazar Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseu Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Moura having to interfere. Baltazar Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Toscano in the 69th minute of play. When Marco de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Zebelezinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco de Almeida couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Zebelezinho's Cido Barreto got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Restingua EC booed when Zebelezinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Lima having to interfere. If Eliseu Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zebelezinho's Eliseu Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91stth minute of the game Eliseu Toscano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Restingua EC's Baltazar Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 94th minute Eliseu Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zebelezinho were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Restingua EC to leave the ground with a draw.
