An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Abreu in the 41st minute of play forced Recreiro's goalkeeper Claudinei Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aguilhadas booed when Recreiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Abreu in the 44th minute of play forced Recreiro's goalkeeper Claudinei Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enio Abreu was the one to do the kick off. Aguilhadas's Enio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinei Carioca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enio Abreu's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Enio Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Carioca having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Enio Abreu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei Carioca was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Tomás Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Recreiro's Adolfo Massa got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Célio Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinei Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. With a little luck, Recreiro's Claudinei Carioca got control of the ball when Enio Abreu tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enio Abreu in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei Carioca saved Recreiro from getting behind. Caco Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Claudinei Carioca made a huge save. A collision led to Aguilhadas getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Enio Abreu hit a great ball. José Pedro Dias hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The Recreiro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Aguilhadas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
