Ricardo Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Mello in the 4th minute of the match. When Marcelo Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macaé Esporte FC's protests and gave Marcelo Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Macaé Esporte FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Marcelo Custódio hit a great ball. Jacinto Negri made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Cido Terra sent off a good shot on target. Gualter Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cido Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jacinto Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cido Terra came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Macaé Esporte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido Terra couldn't finish the play. Remo Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ricardo Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 32nd minute, João Paulo Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Mandrak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jacinto Negri stood somewhat misplaced when Gualter Paiva came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 37 minute. Gualter Paiva struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Jacinto Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macaé Esporte FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gualter Paiva in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Negri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, João Paulo Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crato's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cido Terra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Jacinto Negri made a huge save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Paulo Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Crato's Jacinto Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Paiva in the 57th minute of play. Ricardinho Torres, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 61st minute, Cido Terra made a precise shot to the right of Jacinto Negri. Crato's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jacinto Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Terra in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Cido Terra notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Crato's Jacinto Negri. Jacinto Negri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gualter Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gualter Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Negri having to interfere. José Paulo Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Macaé Esporte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Salles to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Paiva in the 89th minute of play forced Crato's goalkeeper Jacinto Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Macaé Esporte FC's Cido Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Macaé Esporte FC's Gualter Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Negri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Macaé Esporte FC's Gualter Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Macaé Esporte FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
