Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Filipe Alves started the match with the kick off. After having played for 2 minutes, José Vítor Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gamaleira's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Vítor Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Cipriano Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizinho Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Bittencourt having to interfere. When Filipe Alves came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Providencia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Alves couldn't finish the play. Luizinho Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Célio Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Gamaleira's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Almeida came free, but Célio Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Gamaleira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington Pinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gamaleira's goalkeeper Célio Bittencourt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luizinho Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Célio Bittencourt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luizinho Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Providencia FC defense, José Vítor Barral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cipriano Queirós. The Providencia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cipriano Queirós should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Providencia FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Queirós, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clóvis de Queirós hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Mateus Saraiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. If Filipe Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mateus Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Queirós having to interfere. Mateus Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Válbson Rosado was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Luizinho Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Providencia FC's Luizinho Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Célio Bittencourt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wellington Pinho during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wellington Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Cipriano Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateus Saraiva went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute Mateus Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerson Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Mateus Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cipriano Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Mateus Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateus Saraiva took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cipriano Queirós. Cipriano Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Cipriano Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Providencia FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gamaleira.
