Rafael Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu de Souza having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Umburana SC's Almir Magalhães got a free kick in the 6th minute. Gugu de Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aloísio Marinho went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Marinho in the 12th minute of play forced Exaltacao SC's goalkeeper Gino Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandro Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gino Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Exaltacao SC's Aloísio Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Marinho in the 24th minute of play forced Umburana SC's goalkeeper Gugu de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gugu de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Téo Albuquerque's late challenge caught a Exaltacao SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Téo Albuquerque helped the player get up and apologised. Téo Albuquerque hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Daniel Cardoso hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Albuquerque in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gugu de Souza saved Umburana SC from getting behind. A collision led to Umburana SC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Almir Magalhães hit a great ball. Gugu de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Albuquerque in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Marinho in the 44th minute of play forced Umburana SC's goalkeeper Gugu de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Umburana SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Exaltacao SC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Marinho to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Marinho in the 61st minute of play forced Exaltacao SC's goalkeeper Gino Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Álvaro Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Exaltacao SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aloísio Marinho in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gugu de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Exaltacao SC's Daniel Cardoso got a free kick in the 74th minute. Téo Albuquerque got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Umburana SC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Téo Albuquerque hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, Aloísio Marinho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gugu de Souza. Aloísio Marinho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 87th minute, Rafael Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Gugu de Souza. Umburana SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Gugu de Souza came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Exaltacao SC's Rafael Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Rafael Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Exaltacao SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
