Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Doriva de Toledo started the match with the kick off. Heliópolis FC's attentive Claudinei Trancoso managed to snatch the ball when Oswaldo Bittencourt made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. With a little luck, Gustavo AD's Léo Garcia got control of the ball when Doriva de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Doriva de Toledo struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Léo Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heliópolis FC. Régis Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Garcia having to interfere. If Doriva de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gustavo AD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valdo de Lara was slow to take the kick. During this time Heliópolis FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Valdo de Lara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Léo Garcia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vinícius Neto hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Gustavo AD's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Sergipano came free, but Léo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Felipe Faria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jano de Andrade was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinícius Neto to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Régis Sergipano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heliópolis FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Doriva de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Léo Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Léo Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Sergipano in the 58th minute of play. Léo Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Doriva de Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Léo Garcia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oswaldo Bittencourt during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gustavo AD's Oswaldo Bittencourt got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the Gustavo AD defense, Doriva de Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Léo Garcia. The Gustavo AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Léo Garcia should have stopped the shot. After 76 minutes of play, Heliópolis FC's Régis Sergipano made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Léo Garcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Doriva de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Sergipano in the 84th minute of play forced Gustavo AD's goalkeeper Léo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Régis Sergipano notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Gustavo AD's Léo Garcia. Léo Garcia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Carlos Alberto de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doriva de Toledo in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Léo Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Léo Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva de Toledo in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Heliópolis FC fully deserved thier win.
