Ibiaca EC's Filipe Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Seco in the 12th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Ibiaca EC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Messias. Claudinei Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Filipe Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Zeca Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parapua's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeca Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murillo Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murillo Moraes ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeca Schmidt was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Damião in the 53rd minute of play forced Parapua's goalkeeper Alfredão Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauan Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão Veloso having to interfere. Alfredão Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Mattos in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Ibiaca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Arósio to maneuver through the defense. Zeca Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cauan Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ibiaca EC's Cauan Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Durvalino Mattos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredão Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. The referee gave Josué Loureiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Josué Loureiro hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
