Pedro Antunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eriberto Perez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Antunes ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Cacimba getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Zé Carlos Pimenta hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo de Lara in the 34th minute of play forced Cacimba's goalkeeper Eriberto Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cacimba's Eriberto Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Antunes in the 38th minute of play.
