The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Ribeiro got free with João Adolfo de Lara in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Leocadia AD booed when Guanandi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Rafinha Zanette notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Guanandi's Claudinho Severo. Claudinho Severo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 15 minutes, Agnaldo Zanette mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leocadia AD and the Guanandi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Leocadia AD got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Zanette. João Adolfo de Lara was a little too slow when Cacá dos Santos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. Leocadia AD's Agnaldo Zanette got his second yellow card of the match in the 26th minute. The referee ordered Agnaldo Zanette off the ground. Agnaldo Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match David Castro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Adolfo de Lara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Benjamin Santos lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 29 minutes into the game, one of Leocadia AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 31st minute, Guanandi got a penalty, and Cacá dos Santos placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Fernando Ribeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, João Adolfo de Lara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hílton Quintal struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Claudinho Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leocadia AD. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percival Proença during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Percival Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hílton Quintal to strike the kick off in the second half. Hílton Quintal hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 55 minutes, Chico Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guanandi and the Leocadia AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Chico Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Palmeira in the 59th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Guanandi's Fernando Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Adolfo de Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Adolfo de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute.
