When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Maurício Silva took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dudu Messias to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, PRATINHA's Frédson de Moraes got a free kick in the 7th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Tancredinho's goalkeeper Dudu Messias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauã de Queiroz. PRATINHA's Nestor Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Quadros in the 19th minute of play. When Cléber Ramalho fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PRATINHA's protests and gave Cléber Ramalho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, PRATINHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Bernardinho Castro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nestor Couto. PRATINHA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dudu Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Silva in the 31st minute of play. Tancredinho's Dudu Messias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Tancredinho from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurício Silva in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dudu Messias saved Tancredinho from getting behind. Dudu Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reginaldo Cunha made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Tancredinho's goal looked a bit too open when Cauã de Queiroz came free, but Dudu Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Paulo Quadros in the 55th minute. Maurício Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimir Lopes's late challenge caught a PRATINHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. Dudu Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dudu Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Silva in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã de Queiroz in the 75th minute of play forced Tancredinho's goalkeeper Dudu Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dudu Messias came out of the goal and Cauã de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th match minute, PRATINHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Reginaldo Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
