With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernani Moreira in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Matos saved Xapury AD from getting behind. Gustavo Secco struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Rodrigo Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xapury AD. Rodrigo Cunha was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Arí Ferreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arí Ferreira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Paulinho Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 14 minutes of play, Candeeiro SC's Christiano Prado made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrique Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Xapury AD booed when Candeeiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Arí Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Xapury AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Arí Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christiano Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Xapury AD getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Júnior Linares hit a great ball. Henrique Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Moreira in the 34th minute of play. If Hernani Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Christiano Prado made the kick off in the second half. Arí Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Rodrigo Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Christiano Prado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Christiano Prado took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Henrique Matos to make any attempt to save it. Henrique Matos made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Christiano Prado sent off a good shot on target. Arí Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes, Joaquim Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Candeeiro SC and the Xapury AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Candeeiro SC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Joaquim Neiva hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Gustavo Secco in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Luís Guilherme Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Joaquim Neiva got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Candeeiro SC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Joaquim Neiva hit a great ball. Gustavo Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Cunha having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Xapury AD's goalkeeper Henrique Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernani Moreira. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xapury AD's goalkeeper Henrique Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustavo Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Cunha having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Candeeiro SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
