Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Oswaldo Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Vianna in the 4th minute of play. Naldo Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sabuji's zone, Túlio Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Cosme came out of the goal and Túlio Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doni Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Nicolas Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joinville's Oswaldo Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Vianna in the 14th minute of play. When Túlio Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Joinville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Joinville's Túlio Alcântara was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 21st minute, Valdo de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norberto Breckenfeld charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norberto Breckenfeld the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Sabuji got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Breckenfeld. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Túlio Alcântara took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Nicolas Cosme to make any attempt to save it. Luís Eduardo Abreu scored 3-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolas Cosme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Túlio Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nicolas Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joinville's Percival Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
The supporters of Sabuji booed when Joinville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Túlio Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute of the match, Célio Vianna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oswaldo Passos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luís Eduardo Abreu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 64 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the game, one of Joinville:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Sabuji. Silas Gomes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Oswaldo Passos. 3-1. A collision led to Sabuji getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Robinho de Sena hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdo de Lara in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Cosme saved Sabuji from getting behind. Oswaldo Passos was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Perivaldo Nogueira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Perivaldo Nogueira really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Oswaldo Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Vianna in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match, Naldo Costa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oswaldo Passos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Célio Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oswaldo Passos was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. A collision led to Joinville getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. João Paulo Koehler hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Joinville's Percival Dias got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute of the match Silas Gomes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oswaldo Passos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 93rd play minute Naldo Costa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oswaldo Passos. 3-3. After a rather tough play, Joinville's Osvaldinho Dias got a free kick in the 96th minute.
