Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Inácio Schmidt made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Funil's Eugênio Hermes got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Gilvan Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 3rd minute, Zé Rosado made a precise shot to the right of Gilvan Teixeira. Funil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Arnaldo Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Gilvan Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zé Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Funil's Gilvan Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Porto in the 13th minute of play. Manoel Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Fontes having to interfere. Gilvan Teixeira came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Itassuce's Zé Rosado. But to his dismay, Zé Rosado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Manoel Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Afonsinho Martins's late challenge caught a Funil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonsinho Martins helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Itassuce's Afonsinho Martins got a free kick in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Funil's zone, Arnaldo Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilvan Teixeira came out of the goal and Arnaldo Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Zé Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itassuce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Rosado made a kick off. Zé Rosado hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Inácio Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Edson Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonsinho Martins hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Manoel Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Funil's supporters rose to their feet, but Manoel Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eugênio Hermes hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Arnaldo Porto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Gilvan Teixeira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reginaldo Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The score was 0-3 after a penalty in the 72nd minute, where Itassuce:s Júnior Figueiredo tricked Funil:s Gilvan Teixeira with a difficult ball by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Porto got free with Gilvan Teixeira in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Inácio Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilvan Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Rosado in the 87th minute of play. During the 87th minute of the match Reginaldo Ferraz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Reginaldo Ferraz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Funil getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Reginaldo Ferraz hit a great ball. Funil's Gilvan Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Funil from getting a goal against them. If Arnaldo Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itassuce's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
