After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Claudinho Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jangada's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinho Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinho Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovanni Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Tavares in the 9th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Jangada:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Descoberto:s goal. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Descoberto. César de Brito stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Geovanni Leão. 0-1. Jangada's Geovanni Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Quirino in the 20th minute of play. The long shot by Válbson Dracena in the 24th minute really tested Marcelinho Costa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Jangada getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Murillo Marinho hit a great ball. A collision led to Descoberto getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Matheus Tavares hit a great ball. A collision led to Jangada getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Válbson Dracena hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes Jangada got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Botelho.

The wind increased when Matheus Tavares made the kick off in the second half. Marcelinho Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marquinhos Sena struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Marcelinho Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jangada. In the 68th minute, Claudinho Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Jangada getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Marquinhos Sena hit a great ball. Lúcio Rezende came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Geovanni Leão could save by the left post. Marquinhos Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho Costa having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Válbson Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the game, Jangada's Oscar Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelinho Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Vito Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Jangada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Geovanni Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Jangada succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Descoberto had controlled the match.
