Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Geovanni Cearense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Mazinho Recife made a huge save. In the 4th minute, Enio Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute, Geovanni Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Augusto Dracena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mazinho Recife. Ijucapirama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gernando de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilian Marinho having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando de Alcântara in the 14th minute of play forced Lejeado's goalkeeper Wilian Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Brasil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lejeado's Delfim Cearense got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 22 played minutes Lejeado got a freekick which was hit by Didi Paraibano. Alan Brasil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilian Marinho. Lejeado's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Geovanni Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Cearense charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Cearense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Delfim Cearense hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Wilian Marinho came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ijucapirama's Fernão Campidelis. But to his dismay, Fernão Campidelis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mazinho Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cido Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geovanni Cearense struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Mazinho Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lejeado. Geovanni Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mazinho Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cido Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Recife having to interfere. Geovanni Cearense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mazinho Recife having to make a save. Fernão Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Wilian Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Claudinho Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute of the match Alan Brasil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilian Marinho skillfully saved the ball. Bebeto Coutinho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Geovanni Cearense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mazinho Recife read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ijucapirama eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
