The audience was convinced that Paulinho Esteves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei Carvalho was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Paulinho Esteves advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 36th minute. In the 41st minute, Paulinho Esteves fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Rafa Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Claudinei Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evandro Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Custódio Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Claudinei Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafa Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute.
