Pedrão Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Novaes in the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Artur Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If João Adolfo Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Ortiz in the 17th minute of the match. Jorge Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Proença in the 19th minute of play. Dalmo Aparecido's late challenge caught a Canoas SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmo Aparecido helped the player get up and apologised. Dalmo Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Ivo Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrão Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ivatuva SC's João Adolfo Favoretto got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd of the match, Aílton Novaes tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Pedrão Teles got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 33rd minute, João Vítor Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Pedrão Teles managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Ivatuva SC's João Adolfo Favoretto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 43 minutes into the match, Canoas SS's goalkeeper Pedrão Teles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Novaes. After 44 minutes, Cido Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canoas SS and the Ivatuva SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Canoas SS got a freekick which was hit by Cido Ramalho. João Adolfo Favoretto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Pedrão Teles made a huge save. 48 minutes into the game, one of Canoas SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Canoas SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aílton Novaes in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrão Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Adolfo Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Pedrão Teles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ivatuva SC. In the 66th minute Aílton Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Canoas SS defense, Aílton Novaes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrão Teles. The Canoas SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrão Teles should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Aílton Novaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that João Adolfo Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedrão Teles was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the game, Dinei Palmeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
