Jorge Monteiro came out of the goal and Valdo Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Acácio Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jorge Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio Freitas got free with Jorge Monteiro in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Caresalzinho SC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Acácio Freitas hit a great ball. The supporters of Ivatuva SC booed when Caresalzinho SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdo Vides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio Freitas got free with Jorge Monteiro in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Acácio Freitas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Jorge Monteiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Caresalzinho SC booed when Ivatuva SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didi Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silas Simões in the 41st minute of the match. Alexandre Silva's late challenge caught a Caresalzinho SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Silva helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Ivatuva SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caresalzinho SC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, Caresalzinho SC's Gildo Velloso got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jorge Monteiro. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Valdo Vides made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Caresalzinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. André Luís Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Adolfo Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Didi Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caresalzinho SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ivatuva SC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Cristóvão Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Travassos, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Caresalzinho SC's goalkeeper Didi Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silas Simões. Silas Simões took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Didi Sampaio. Didi Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Silas Simões scored 2-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Didi Sampaio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Didi Sampaio was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Silas Simões capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silas Simões really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. A collision led to Ivatuva SC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Aníbal Vergílio hit a great ball. Ivatuva SC's João Adolfo Favoretto got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Caresalzinho SC's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Favoretto came free, but Didi Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Caresalzinho SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ivatuva SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
