Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdo Vides started the match with the kick off. Didi Sampaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artur Ortiz's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Caresalzinho SC's zone, Ivo Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didi Sampaio came out of the goal and Ivo Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artur Ortiz in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Didi Sampaio saved Caresalzinho SC from getting behind. Artur Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Didi Sampaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canoas SS. In the 17th minute, Gildo Velloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Caresalzinho SC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nicolas Carneiro hit a great ball. Didi Sampaio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Romário Simão. Didi Sampaio made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Ivo Proença sent off a good shot on target. Caresalzinho SC's Valdo Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdo Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Caresalzinho SC's Didi Sampaio got control of the ball when Ivo Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cristóvão Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artur Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Carneiro's late challenge caught a Canoas SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Caresalzinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Acácio Freitas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Pedrão Teles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 68 minutes, Ivo Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canoas SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivo Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivo Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ezequiel Brodel hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, João Vítor Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artur Ortiz took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Didi Sampaio. Didi Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. A collision led to Canoas SS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. João Vítor Perez hit a great ball. Pedrão Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Vides in the 89th minute of the match. Valdo Vides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedrão Teles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Canoas SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
