The supporters of Rafard AD booed when Caburu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Reinaldo Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rafard AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Caburu EC booed when Rafard AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th match minute, Caburu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Melo to maneuver through the defense. If Didi Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimir Branco got free with Adriano Mota in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caburu EC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Rafard AD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Júlio Fonseca took the corner. Caburu EC's Oswaldo da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Simões in the 21st minute of play. Adriano Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Caburu EC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Christiano Maciel hit a great ball. Paulão Leal charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulão Leal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Didi Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Rafard AD's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Branco came free, but Adriano Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cido Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido Varela in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Mota saved Rafard AD from getting behind. Kauan Maranhense hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reinaldo Ferreira to strike the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, José Pedro Britto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Caburu EC's Oswaldo da Mata. Oswaldo da Mata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Reinaldo Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Rafard AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Adriano Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Pedro Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oswaldo da Mata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Vladimir Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reinaldo Ferreira took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswaldo da Mata. Oswaldo da Mata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Reinaldo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo da Mata having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Caburu EC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Branco. Oswaldo da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Ferreira in the 84th minute of the match. Vladimir Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rafard AD's Teodoro Simões got a free kick in the 88th minute. Adriano Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Branco in the 95th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Didi Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caburu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chants of Rafard AD echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Caburu EC had held the ball for most of the match.
