After recieving a nice pass, Itapirarema's Pedro Luiz Quadros tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Itapirarema's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Chaves came free, but Lucas Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arí Quirino's late challenge caught a Licuri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arí Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. Arí Quirino hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Licuri's Zé Carlos Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Carlos Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Itapirarema getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bruninho Matos hit a great ball. When Bruninho Matos came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Itapirarema fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruninho Matos couldn't finish the play. Acácio Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 46 minutes Itapirarema's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Afonsinho Simão who took care of the corner kick. Licuri's Afonsinho Simão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lucas Garcia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Itapirarema's Luiz Gustavo Veloso in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itapirarema's goalkeeper Lucas Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Gonçalves in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Urbano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute, Acácio Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romário Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romário Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Licuri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Licuri's Váldson Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Gonçalves in the 77th minute of play. Zé Carlos Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Garcia having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Itapirarema's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Chaves came free, but Lucas Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Carlos Campidelis in the 86th minute. Váldson Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Gonçalves in the 92nd minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
